Biblical Counseling Online is the home of counseling resources from the ministry of Jim Newheiser. Jim has been a pastor at Grace Bible Church in Escondido, California for years. He holds an MA and DMin from Westminster Seminary in California. Jim is also a NANC “Fellow” and the Director of the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD).

Biblical Counseling Online is committed to the principles of biblical counseling as initially expressed by Jay Adams and which the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors espouses. We believe not only in the inerrancy of the Bible, but also in the sufficiency of the Scriptures. That is, in the Bible we have the truth we need to help people deal with their spiritual problems (II Tim. 3:16-17). We believe that many of the problems for which people are seeking psychotherapy or psychotropic drugs can be solved by taking a biblical approach. In addition we believe that believers are equipped by God to help each other with these spiritual problems (Romans 15:14).
